I want a small life https://lemma.blog/2020/05/07/i-want-a-small-life/ Fri, 08 May 2020 02:41:13 +0000 https://lemma.blog/?p=5349 Not a big one or one that’s filled with stuff. Forget making a difference or impact; I want to make art and leave it at that.

Everybody wants to help, but nobody asks who wants it. So we create problems and pay other people to solve them.

A good life is a small life where my house is in order. Your life isn’t my life, so I’ll stay in my corner.

Think small and be small, I’m not trying to show off. Because when the show turns off what’s left is what’s right here.

Keep it Simple https://lemma.blog/2019/11/08/keep-it-simple/ https://lemma.blog/2019/11/08/keep-it-simple/#respond Fri, 08 Nov 2019 15:09:47 +0000 https://flowtrainingfit.com/?p=4435 A Post-It note above my desk readers three words: Keep it Simple. Three words is all it takes to remind myself of the most disguised and hidden truth in the natural world. I, like the rest of the human race, tend to overcomplicate, overthink, and overpower each of my daily tasks. From washing dishes to walking to class to writing a simple paragraph response for an online discussion board, I am an expert at de-simplifying my life.

But when I read those three words, a switch goes off. Clarity overshadows me. Innovations and problem solving strategies result. I am made new by three small words.

Keep it Simple. Simple routines, simple schedules, simple meals, simple workouts, simple home decor, simple priorities. Why? Because we always lose meaning in the details.
